Why do I have so many mascaras?

After rummaging around in my make-up bag I pulled out seven mascaras! I don't know why I have so many, but I genuinely believe they all do different things to my eyelashes. If any one wants a review on any of the mascaras in the picture below then let me know. Having blonde eyelashes means that I feel quite odd if I have foundation on and no mascara so I have different mascaras for different uses. Sometimes I like my lashes to be really natural and in the evening I like them to be quite thick and dramatic. At the moment I am really liking the Clinique High Impact mascara but I would love to try the Bourjois rotating mascara when it comes out, but I think I need to finish some of these first!

I've listed some points as to why I like each of these mascaras: (Max Factor Dramatic Look not included as I haven't used it for a while)

Clinque High Impact- soft brush/ conditioning/ easy to remove/ gentle/ can make as dramatic or soft as you like.

Models Own Big Brush- large brush/ can create dramatic lashes.

Rimmel Lash Accelerator- brush gets even the smallest lashes/ makes lashes look long/ not clumpy.

Bourjois Volume Clubbing Mascara- amazing for nights out/ creates very dramatic lashes/ large brush/ can create the clumpy look if you wish.

Natural Collection Water Guard- really natural/ good for minimal look.

Avon Supershock- rubber brush/ separates lashes really well/ smells weird though!

Nails Inc bargain!

Another bargain this week was the Nails Inc Albert Bridge topcoat. I got this for a tiny £1 at Boots. They had literally hundreds of them, not too sure why they were in the sale but who cares! I got mine from the large Boots on the high street in Birmingham. I haven't tried it yet but I will let you know what it's like if you're interested! I checked on the Boots website and it is still £7.15.

New bag bargain!

After browsing around Primark a few days ago, I spotted this bag in the sale. I remembered it as I was going to buy it at it's original price of £10... quite steep for Primarni!

So when I saw it was half price I had to get it and even better it was £4 when I got to the till. I love it when that happens. 

It's fake leather (obviously) and it expands at the sides with two zip pockets at the front. I think it looks quite Topshop-esque! I also like the red stitching. It comes in tan or black. 

St Moriz: Original VS Dark... what's the difference?

I am an avid St Moriz fan. After using Fake Bake for about 2 years (and draining my bank balance) I went on the hunt for a cheap alternative and found St Moriz last year. While Fake Bake is a thick cream formula which smells awful, St Moriz is a quick drying lighter solution with a far less offensive smell.

At around £3-£4 it's worth trying. The only downside is it can be quite drying on the skin so layer on the moisturiser first. Pay lots of attention around the elbows, knees and ankles as these are my most dry areas of skin. Surprisingly my underarms also have dry skin, so I layer on the moisturiser under my arms... it sounds weird but it also stops the fake tan settling in your arm pits which is a no-go for me. Putting fake tan on your arm pits makes you sweat excessively as your blocking the pores.

I have always used the original formula which isn't too dark and you can put extra layers on the next day if you don't feel dark enough. So when I saw they had come up with a 'Dark' option I gave it a go.

I was surprised to find absolutely no difference at all. If anyone feels differently please say because I am struggling to see a difference between the two at all.

Surprisingly the right hand side, which I think is the darker foam, is the original formula. I would say that either formula is going to give you pretty much the same result.

How much does my face cost?

I've seen this on a few people's blogs so I though I would join in.

This was the make-up I used on Friday which I consider to be a 'high brand make-up day,' which I usually have when I have a fresh coat of fake tan on (lol) But it usually varies and some days I use a cheaper foundation and powder, but this was just on a typical day.

I haven't included my moisturiser or brushes.

On other days I will use a £4.99 foundation and a £2.99 powder and wear vaseline on my lips so I don't feel too bad about the total. 

        

Turquoise & red ring

Hi!

Sorry for my lack of posts I have been trying to focus on my other work and I also got a bit angry with YouTube and I suppose I was trying to have a break from everything! I have decided to stop making YT videos until I have finished university and it's still questionable at the moment as to whether I will go back. This is for the same reasons that most people leave, the good old 'hate' comments. As much as people say 'ignore it' I seem to be getting hate comments on the same 3 or 4 videos and these occur on my videos with the most views on, so naturally the more people that watch the more likely you are to uncover a troll. Of course there are a lot of lovely people on YT and I will continue to watch every one else, but at this stressful time of my life I don't really need the hassle of people telling me I put too much make-up on, my voice is annoying, my skirt is too short or that I am just all round annoying!

Since stopping my videos I have gone back to my 'smaller' makeup bag, gone back to using just the makeup I like and seem to have ignored the drawers of make-up in my room. Funny how things snap back so quick!

So anyway, back to the reason I made this post...

The 'shopping centre' (if you can call it that) next to my uni isn't exactly Westfield. There's a severe lack of any good shops and has tacky market stalls dotted around the inside. But last week I was walking through when I spotted a stall with lots of rings on that caught my attention. After trying on nearly all of them I settled on this turquoise and red one. There were no other ones like this one on the stand and I really like the red. Plus..it was only £2 and hasn't turned my finger green just yet!

New Bag Love

Just posting about my new bag. It deserves this lengthy statement because I love it. Even though my holiday seems sooo far away I have a little collection building up of holiday things. I saw this bag in Primark for £7 and I fell in love with it straight away. It's bright and summery and reminds me of being on holiday straight away. I think people will either like it or hate it, as it is made of erm straw?

The lining inside it is lovely, completely floral to match the bow on the outside. The handle is brown faux leather, quite long and has a chain running through half of it. It's definitely not something you could put much in as it would probably break so just your phone purse and keys is probably the most you could put in. It also comes in blue and a natural colour.
